... Erika Schuchardt’s book fills many gaps in the field of the techniques for living ...

Review: New Ways for Readers by Bibliogaphy

In a time of increasing industrialisation, in which religious traditions come to an end because the order of generations has broken up, many gaps in the tradition of techniques of living have opened up. That is why many people no longer know about wholesome interrelations: The religious rituals for dealing with sickness, tragedies and catastrophes formerly practised in families now have to be substituted in new ways. The revised edition of ERIKA SCHUCHARDT's book performs an important task by systematising, presenting and explaining exemplary life-histories. By its complementary, comprehensive bibliography it introduces a reader who is seeking advice to more testimonies of people who have discovered in their lives' crises what helped them most to cope.

The author deserves great respect for the work she has accomplished. I hope that the updated volume itself will be acknowledged by many of those seeking and those giving advice.
